I removed the damper on the n/v 4500 that i had in my 91 6.2 when i o'hauled it . I sold it this spring and put over 100,000 k on it with no problems. i have seen many come into the shop with it removed and worked fine.

if you are replacing the pilot brg, do not put the brg style back in , you can get the bushing style from napa, The brg is well know for failure and takes the imput shaft out, It will also cause the mainshaft too imput shaft brg to fail inside the trans , That main shaft is not cheap!!! We do...

One is to heat the oil , in colder temps the oil will gel if it does not go to the rad
when in slower city traf there is little to no air flow to cool the external cooler .
