    Offroad toy?

Got tired of the cargo bouncing around and the E track rails arrived

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

Here in Utah the snowfall is usually less than 1ft per storm unless your higher up in the mountains (lands I'm looking at are not) or big lake effect. It's also not as wet/dense of snow as what yall get in the east. Inclined to agree about Deere. More expensive parts from what other mechanics...

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

Starting to do some looking around and wanting guidance on this. What size tractor would be the best for up to 5 acres of general use land? Uses for the tractor would be mowing, digging, snow plow, and lifting are the main things I'm thinking of. Older equipment doesn't bother me as long as...

    New 2.8L Colorado Duramax

I was getting 18mpg in the crew cab at 60, dropped to 12-13mpg if going 65mph. But a th400 with 4.10 gears isn't exactly a good combo for fuel economy hahaha. Curious how these do without the emissions systems.

    Offroad toy?

Gin pole stuff got delayed temporarily. Need electrical power to run the lathe and currently having problems with electric at the shop so had a few choices. Buy a generator, fix the Miller Big 40 diesel welder, move the welder to the crew cab's PTO, or setup a alternator welder onto the k5...

    Service trailer came early boys

Crudely cut out the center part of the angle iron bumper. Going to use some 4" C channel to tie the beds together underneath, serve as the skid frame. After some work the second bed is now moved up where it should be. Glimpse of the second skid planned for the trailer.

    Offroad toy?

Bit of work on the gin pole legs. Plan is for both trucks to be able to use them if needed.

    Offroad toy?

Now that's fancy hahaha. Trimmed the front fenders to clear the 33"s as well

    Service trailer came early boys

Got around to finishing the ends for the 25ft jumper/welding cables. Still need to finish up the longer ones (50 or 75ft can't remember which).

    1982 k30, sticking around

Drove the truck home last week and it stalled out, determined it was a fuel starvation issue. Pulled the fuel line off at the 1st filter inlet, and not a drop of fuel (tank is setup as a sump draw). Turns out the fitting at the bottom of the tank was acting like a initial filter, had plugged up...

    Offroad toy?

New tires on the front, 33x12.5"s instead of the 33x10.5" because I can get the 12.5"s cheaper. Does rub on the driver side front fender some which is easy to trim. Rears and spare need replaced as well. Looking into cargo control stuff right now so things can be secured. Liking the idea of...

    Service trailer came early boys

Finally getting around to diagnosing and soon repairing the trailer problems. Was hoping to reuse the 1 spindle that didn't have a hub on it but that's not gonna happen. Ended up pulling the threads off when putting a nut on and the outer bearing surface is damaged beyond a good repair. All the...

    1982 k30, sticking around

Electric vacuum pump is wired/plumbed so the trans can shift out of 1st gear. Have it running directly from pump-actuator and so far it's shifting at lowish rpm's which is fine for me. Only gotten it up to about 30mph so far. Steering. Turning radius and response seems to be normal. The power...

    Offroad toy?

It's springtime! Might as well take advantage of the convertible capability haha. Also have a pair of tires on the way for it. Sticking with 33"s for now.

    Service trailer came early boys

Wrecker is currently gone for a few days and I've been spending some time on the trailer again. Being that it's heavier duty than I thought, going to set it up with a rolling tailboard so it can be used as a bigger version of the flatbed that was on my pickup. Relatively cheap addition that...
