No chunks just dirty water/coolant. Ran it both ways til clear.

I did flush a bunch of crap out of both cores.

I saw Home Depot has the pex fitting already to go online. Of course after I sweated it together.

Replaced my rear heat and ac lines. Deleted the quick connects. Lubed the hose with some transmission fluid and heated the hose with a heat gun to soften the rubber. Once I got it over the hump in the aluminum line it went fine. I looked at the connects with a Barb but they’re still plastic and...

Ring left behind came out in 2 seconds. Time consuming part was using a stone in drill to clean up enough for donuts to seat. Would have been better when I had it out but it wasn’t bad in the truck.

Already did two broken bolts. Drilling them out and tapping threads. Used studs instead of bolts.

Wow thanks for the replies everyone! Much appreciated. I will use an air chisel to try and hammer it out. The pictures really helped because I thought it slipped into a channel of some sort. I can cave it in on itself and get it out with channel locks or vise grips. Thanks again!

Ok I get how they work now but I’m afraid to try and pull them out. might make more of a mess then just leaving them. Looking at them out of the truck I would have never guessed they were separated.

I can’t for the life of me see how this will seal anything.

Hello everyone! I ordered crossover donut gaskets for my 99 suburban. The old gaskets are flat on the bottom and have a wire mesh inside. All the gaskets I look at on line and in the store have a metal ring inside.

Thank you for the response! Seemed weird to me when I was installing them.🤔 I definitely will be looking for some inserts.

Are there inserts to take up the gap?

So my 506 block has the two different size holes for the main studs, but my caps have same size larger holes. Are these the wrong caps for this block?
