yup so far so far. changed the coolant sensor got my over drive back. thanks for letting me hijack your thread

ok i went and bought a coolant tempature sensor. for the one up front and changed it out. So far so good shifted in to over drive no problem. hoping that was it. 50 mph just under 2000 rpms thanks to everyone who helped out it was great

i took my truck for a drive yesterday and shifted it manually i can get to third gear. no overdrive

i know where the one is by the the front of the motor. where is the other one?

ok i thinking maybe cause the scanner is telling me, but their cheap and if it fixes it. wow that would be great

ok just throwing this out there p0118 cames back as engine coolant tempature sensor. will this affix the transmission from shifting?

ok thanks with the new scanner i got im getting a p0118 code. i dont think that has anything to do with it change gears tho? right now i'll take any suggests

update jan/29/13 ok i went and bought a scanner and when i hook it up. It says no powertrain and / or dtc's stored.

Can anyone tell if there is a way to test the soleinods in the tranny to make sure they are working? Or just change them?

I've had this truck for 7 monthes and its been a good truck til now, I dont know too much about this truck but i think the tranny fliuld needs to be changed. well im there i can take a closer look whats there
