Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

23kts would be slow for my express cruiser. My top speed, on plane, trimmed good, is 36.5kts and 3800rpm. Wide open throttle is at 4300rpm. So propping it out to get close to that would be the pain. 23kts is 26.42mph while my 36.5 is 42mph

The only real problem with the Yanmar in a marine application is they reduce the overall speed. Doing the math to re-prop a boat isn't that hard, it's just you have to go through a few props to get it right. Counter rotation props get spendy and when your buying several of them, it's outlandish.

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

I've looked at the Yanmar engine as a repower for ours. Two of the 4 cyl engines would put me in the same horse power range as the two 4.3l V6's. So I could keep and use the outdrives. But I'd also free up space in the bilge. Boat yoga is hard on me these days. Extra room would be nice. I hear...

Cant beat those Yanmar engines. The backhoe is the one attachment I wish I had picked up when I got ours. I have seen used ones in the few hundred range and they are beat up bad. Good deal.

The only thing I know about the JD brand is 'Nothing runs like a Deere'. To the dealer, to be repaired, on the back of a truck. The only ones I've operated were the older 4444 and bigger ones for Hop irrigation, back in the early 90's. They did ok but were better suited as diving boards by...

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

Two things. First, I asked my Kubota dealer and he said he has never heard of a 60 horse tractor with a mid PTO. Second; PayPal I only do the F&F after someone calls me for a product or service. Other than that, I charge them the 4.2% for the transaction. That F&F will still throw a charge...

    My new shop

Purlins at 2' are more than strong enough for a roof. And with the Sampson brackets, it's just fine. Engineered plans for a 3' load was standard. But our plans also had 5/16" OSB between the purlins and the metal. I had a customer request a roof with a 2' snow load and roof mounted solar panels...

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

First call the BBB in the town they are in. Second, that is an older unit. 500 hours might not seem like a lot but can be. How was it maintained? That sort of thing. That is a lot of attachments. Plan on a full truck load on a 53' trailer. I paid that much for my smaller one (24hp) with most of...

Back after being away for 10 years

I'm, about 40 miles north, as a crow flys, from Eugene. I'm actually on the east slope of the coast range near Lincoln City, on the coast. It's ok

Back after being away for 10 years

With my boat being a certified yacht and weighing in at 13500 pounds loaded, it pulls fine. And I have the Oregon coast range to my west and the cascades to my east.

Back after being away for 10 years

Well, we have two. A 1977 General Marine SVR 19 (Sea Ray molds). It's a 19' runabout with inboard/outboard engine, too. It's an open cockpit, closed bow, that doesn't have any canvas for. There is a lot of places I can't pull the bigger boat due to being over width and height. So we take it to...

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

I hadn't thought about it, but I have an old 64" deck from an industrial/ commercial mower that I turned into a yard mule. Change up the belts a little and mount a hydraulic "motor" to it. Then just put some mounts for the forks to hold it. I wanted to regear that mower so it could scream down...

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

Depends. I've moved 12' 2X6's a third of a unit at a time. I think it's 1300# of weight. I have the counter balance fluid in my tires and it had just the tread touching the ground. And I have the industrial tires not the farm tires.

Tractor/equipment for up to 5 acres

Some attachments won't work properly due to the lack of pressure. That is true. But there are many that can be used, as long as they will work with the fluid used in the Bota. The brush I was looking at required a higher PSI but could still be used. I was told that the gearing can be changed to...
