I purchased a 1993 GMC K2500 in July 2011, not knowing what I was getting myself into. After I had the vehicle for 4 months, I found out I had a blown headgasket. After much deliberation on what to do, rebuild, or replace the engine all together, I replaced it. I have had it up and running since June 2012, and I love the truck. I have learned so much about this truck and the 6.5TD in the process. If I ever need an engine again, I will be building it myself. I may even build one before that time comes.
