Hey, If you make it to South Dakota, Let me know, you have whatever you need here! Fishing for catfish, and walleye, lunch, a place to stay, and don't worry about the brandy, I'll buy the beer! You can also hit the badlands, one of the most amazing sights on the face of the planet! I also...
Had failure on two black stanadyne about 2 months apart. I just got a FS from Leroy, and been running good. I got the FS for the simple reason that I don't have to mess with another harness, or try to mess around filing tabs.
Had a little time this afternoon, and got my bump done. I have -1.5 TDCO, and fuel rate is fluctuating between 5.94 mm3, and 5.62 mm3. Throttle is crisp, and runs down the road beautifully! I run less boost now at cruising speed, but EGT went up some. I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!
Drivers side to increase...
You are right, it is easier to drink theirs, but it is way more fun to make it, cause you have to drink some, to make some!
TDC offset is -1.5, and fuel rate is 6.88. I brought the Genesys home actually, to mess with optic sensor. I had the pickup running sweet, but I thought I could get a little more, well.....more isn't always better! So I am gonna put it back. With a search, anywhere between 5mm3 and 9mm3 is...
Do you have a scan tool to look at? What is the TDC offset? If that is out of kilter, could make things rattle alot as you move OS? just one more question in a string. As you start moving things, what is the timing? My friendly neighborhood mechanic let me use Genisys for the weekend, wish...
No trouble here. I'll get that done tomorrow if I have a chance. To get to optic sensor, take upper plenum off, do your adjustment, and then just set plenum on, and plug in sensors for testing. Oil will seep between plenum and intake while running, but makes it easier to adjust again.
I used Genisys , also. I do not remember the boost pressure being in absolute scale. I think waste gate percentage may be wrong at idle also. I agree fuel rate is low, though. If I can get ahold of my friendly neighborhood mechanic, I can hook on Mon., and let you know.
I have a question regarding Top Dead Center Offset. I was scanning with an OTC Genesis, last weekend, and I did KOKO procedure multiple times. I got a different value almost every time! I was wondering if this was because of a mechanical problem (ex. timing chain), or something I was doing...
Before I replaced my pump, I had the same codes, cruising town, CEL would come on, and I would immediately feel the the truck go into limp mode. My vote is IP. I also had a run on at the grocery store! I'll never forget how big that old ladies eyes got! HAHA
Ok, fellers! Thanks to Qak, I found my problem. I had wiggled and jiggled my harness when the truck was warm with no effect, buuuut, when cold I can make my truck stall on command! Thanks to all for all your info, and comments. I am now going to build a no splice harness, and I would suggest...
