Ok, I have checked all the local parts stores,(they don't keep much for 6.5L), the internet, and even e-bay. I need the gasket between the downpipe and the stock exhaust on a 98 6.5L. Anyone know of where I can find one? I don't want to buy a full gasket kit just for a single gasket. Hate...
koko relearn means a key on key off relearn. The following is how you do it.
Start engine and get engine temp over 145 degrees. Fully hot is better.
Shut off
Push accelerator all the way down
Turn key to run - do not start
Leave key on for 45 seconds.
Shut off key and release...
Update
Just wanted to give everyone an update from my last post. No, I haven't sold the truck :hihi: I did do some mods though. Set timing up to -1.94, new good module with remote wiring. Turbo mod with spring, pushing 11 -13. Clutch fan mod. Now this thing is able to pull my 14000# 5th wheel...
I also had the same issue going on from the sounds of it. I cleaned the grounds at the engine. The two battery grounds on the right and left side and also the rear ground at the pass rear. That took care of my issue.
Correction on the Yellow wire, from 94 to 2001 the color was orange that connects at the fusebox in the engine compartment and goes to the center post on the pigtail connector.
I want to publicly thank bk95td for seeing and shipping a part that I was desperately needing. He shipped it out the part out as soon as he received notice that the money was in paypal. I was able to get back to work, now, on my normal schedule and once again enjoying my truck. If anyone needs...
IT LIVES, and yes I'm yelling that. :) I found out what the issues were. 1. Timing was way off. Almost 3 degrees at that. Reset the timing and did a koko. Wouldn't start. Hmmmm. 2 Rechecked the connections to the remote pdm. Yup, there was the second problem. One of the pins in the pdm was bent...
Took a look at the position of the ip this morning and it seems to be angled to the drivers side a bit. I'll reset it to vertical sometime this morning and see how it goes. I think someone may have moved it at one point. Nothing like learning things you never knew before. Since I tow a 5th...
Now that makes sense. Yes the resistor is installed. I was wondering about the TDCO value. If I would have known that it cleared the old TDCO value, I would have never done it. Now comes the timing part. Since I don't have any scanner, it will be a trial and error thing, at least till I can get...
I did a koko reset on the ecm. No other changes. Now it runs rough, pedal is touchy. If I push through it to 1500 rpm is runs fine from there up to 3000 rpms. Anyone else experience this kind of thing? Does a koko clearing also require a reflash? This just is not making any sense. I'm at the...
