    Wash mit info

The test as to wether a wash mit, or any other towel or rag, should be used on a vehicle's clearcoat, is to take it and rub it on a CD. If it leaves any marks on the CD, it may leave marks on your clearcoat. As these mits, or towels are used, they may pick up debris, which will also scratch...

    Poisen Ivy

The shot is a corticosteroid (Prednisone). Works well if you're fair skinned and it spreads rapidly. A cortisone creme will work also, but the only one's that do any good are prescription. Your cheapest bet, if you don't know a doctor personally, is to go to a "doc in the box" and have him...

What do you have for an MP3 player?

You'll be surprised at how fast you will outgrow that Nano, they only hold 250 or 500 songs. Sounds like a lot until you start downloading. I've got the Classic. Holds 20,000 songs. I've got about 2,500 songs on it. About $240 at Costco.

    LBZ fuel gauge sucks.

The last half of the tank, especially the last 1/4, goes a lot faster than the first half. I've found myself with a 1/4 tank, and thinking that I could make it to a certain spot, then sweating bullets 10 minutes later when the light comes on. I look at the 1/4 mark as the empty mark now.

    Best Chamois EVER..what YOU use?

Forgot to add that cotton towels, especially foreign made one's, will definitely leave swirl marks on your vehicle. Those microfiber towels at Costco will pass the test until you wash them a couple of times. Careful with your wash mitt as well. Use a different one for the wheels. Guys at the...

    Best Chamois EVER..what YOU use?

That's exactly the reason why I use a leaf blower, and not a towel, air will not leave any "swirl marks", or any marks, scratches, whatsoever. Some microfiber towels will leave "swirl marks" on your clearcoat. The test is to rub any towel you will use on your car, on a CD first. If it leaves...

    Where to camp?

Small world. Yes sir, I live in Atascadero, and my g/f owns a house on 13th St. in Los Osos that she rents out. Cal Poly '76 Farrier Science. Just an interesting aside...the Eastern Sierra pack strings winter down in the Owens Valley. Around this time of year, just before Memorial Day, they...
