Fuel Sending Unit and fuel leak

So if I buy the Metrium Rod setup off of the website do I just get the rod with the float on it and adapt it to the existing piece that clocks into the top of the tank or do I get the whole thing like it appears on the website? Sorry guys I'm just about ready to tear it apart and if I do that...

Fuel Sending Unit and fuel leak

I wasn't sure about the FSU vs pickup assembly. So can the pickup assembly from my old one connect to your metrium rod setup? Sorry to be dumb about it but I haven't taken it apart yet. Basically I have a fuel leak back there and figured it is either a rubber hose where it connects or a hard...

Fuel Sending Unit and fuel leak

Mine is a 95 and it is in the low 20's not sure if it's a 22 or 24 though? I figure in 95 they were probably making one or the other as the standard tank and that is what I have.

Fuel Sending Unit and fuel leak

I believe my sending unit is bad because my fuel gauge needle is interfering with my oil pressure gauge, it has been reading wrong for a long time. Well now I have some added incentive to fix it because it is leaking $4 per gallon diesel from what appears to be coming from where the lines...

Fuel Leak dripping down by starter

Sorry guys I was calling it the WIF sensor but I believe it was the fuel heater, it is the bottom part that is held on with a plastic ring like at the top for the fuel filter. After my Son and TD recommending doing the pressure test I did it and I found out it was leaking around the seal under...

Fuel Leak dripping down by starter

I tightened all of the clamps they were all worm clamps. and started it and no leaks. I had the fuel manager unbolted and just tilted it toward the passenger side and it started dripping from underneath. I do'n believe it was coming from any of the lines. I believe it is coming out where the...

Fuel Leak dripping down by starter

Not sure if it means anything but I have been getting a dim WIF light first thing when I start it up and it goes off fairly quickly. Probably just means the bowl has been drained to the point there is air in there.

Fuel Leak dripping down by starter

no not lately. I got a pretty good look at it from the top and looks like it's dripping from about the center, I figured if it was coming from one of the hoses it would drip closer too the outside? Gonna go to town and may pick up one of those telescoping mirrors to see if I can see from...

Fuel Leak dripping down by starter

I came out of the store the other day and noticed a pretty good sized spot under my truck and it turned out to be diesel fuel. My Son tried to find the leak yesterday and said it was dripping down by the starter and that it leaked more when it was shut off. I'm gonna try to find the leak later...

Replaced AC Control Head fixed part of the problem

Thanks BK. I pulled that deflector off and the servo is working fine and closing. As it turns out what I was hearing was not air flow thru the floor vents but it is coming from the side of the blower motor that goes toward the front of the truck.
