98 gmc 3500hd vin F. Started having crank but no fire no start, replaced pmd and location, no change. Then it automatically started one time was able to get truck home, wouldn’t restart. Had a friend bring a computer over he hooked up said i had 4 bad injectors so i changed the injectors no change. Since then i replaced glo plugs, solenoid and upgrade the fuel pump to walbro marine grade pump, and new fuel lines and filter. Still not starting. Replaced injection pump and it started and ran untill i Had an issue with shut down at 130 degrees coolant temp Un plugged sensor to computer and it was drivable. Had a diesel mechanic that traded tree work for work on a bucket truck and he ended up oweing more for trade. So he put pitman arm on my truck along with blower motor andwas supposed to run timing relearn on it. Well it wouldn’t start when he finished and was going to test drive it. I used a kgu dmp bt no change. He said i needed a cmputer so i bought a Heath Diesel tow package computer with turbo master. It ran and drove great, good pick up and more power. Then it wouldn’t start again. The next day it started so i drove it home. While it was running i looked around under hood and noticed temp sensor for computer was disconnected, connected it and it stalled. Restart and stall. Disconnect the sensor restart and stay running. Thats where im at now.
