Just bought a 6.9 to replace the 460 gas job in my 86 f350. I also purchased a set of 60 gs for it. They look a little too short to fit the 6.9. As they are for a 6.2

Good news folks. My nos crate engine finally came loose. And my new rings and bearings have been delivered to me. Should have er built in a week or 2

question for you countryboy69? would I have to put a lid of some sort over the cooler to cold harden my engine then??

Thankfully Ive had 15 yrs experience with these old buggers. Thanks for the replys folks. much appreciated. Ive had the engine soaking in mmo and diesel for close to a month. was going to put glow plugs in it to heat the solution up in the hopes it will get past the pistons
