    DIY Turbo Master

Nice job Mike. I did the same thing on my truck when I had it. I don't think you can find a better bracket for making a homemade TM. Dave

    Today's projects....done!

Right....Forgot about that. I used it with S lower and frost plug with no problem. First I made sure that if the frost plug came out it wouldn't fit down any of the intake ports and it wouldn't. The one I used was an imperial size and slightly larger than 45mm. I literally had to hammer it...

Nice dude. I knew you'd do a good job on it. Why didn't you use the Pen. intake? You can resell that puppy for a bit of cash if you're not going to use it. I don't think my EGTs ever got over 1000*F even when pulling my trailer on the hottest days. Dave

    /sigh

Sounds like what mine was doing except the level on mine would go down a little quicker. I used the GM cooling tabs as well as some Bahr's leak and it slowed things but didn't stop it. I think that's why it got worse after the mechanic ran ATF through it. It cleaned up all the stuff that was...

Is oil level going up? Does oil look like chocolate milk? Any snot like stuff in the CDR that tastes sweet...yep ya gotta taste it and you will taste the sweetness if there is coolant in it. I went through this. Replaced the heads, turned out to be the block too. The oil might look okay...

    Gravel guard....looks good....

LOL...Now that's funny! Chris isn't that going to slow you down on the 1/4 mile? Dave

    And so it begins...

If you're going to be in the market for new heads I have a set of dressed heads that are aftermarket castings that have about 500 kms on them. They were put on my engine only to find out the block was cracked. I'm just waiting to get them back from the guy that bought my truck. He's putting...

Going racing.....16 second mark here I come!

Ouch...That hurt! How does he get away with driving the snot out of his truck doing 1/4 mile runs with no damage and I drive mine around like a little old lady and end up with a cracked block...something just isn't right there!:smile5:

    Surging in Reverse! Holy Cow!!!!

When you relocated the PMD did you remove the ground wire from the IP? If so, put it back. This can cause problems like this. After I had my truck worked on for some reason the mechanic removed the ground wire from the PMD harness that is grounded onto the pump and put it on another screw off...

Feel free to say...."I told you so"

Ouch! Check with AlbertaRedNeck for an IP. He bought the one off that other used engine I bought. He just bought it for a spare. He might be willing to sell it to you. I'll let you know if the turbo sells. Dave

    lube specialist oil cooler lines

See my uneducated guess wasn't too far off. I don't think an extra 400 miles on your oil is going to hurt anything. I've read that most oil that is drained at "regular" intervals still has plenty of life left in it and could go much longer than the scheduled 3000 miles. Dave
