Interesting. I’m very, very new to tunes like this.
Since the HP tuner my friend has is free I may give that a shot because I’m really not looking to gain hp wise, just make the car make normal LBZ hp/torque and delete the things I won’t be using (egr, intake heater, glow plug module etc)
Part because I broke off a glow plug head and part because the car won’t ever be in cold weather enough to need it, at least in theory.
Good to know on the resistor, how much resistance does it need to have?
I knew about the pan through Rick Fletes, he is local to me and has a dmax in a 70...
That would be awesome. Yeah, I was considering it because it’s free. The same friend uses efi live on his LS stuff so maybe I can convince him to let me use that, I’m not sure if there’s a certain amount of files to be uploaded or a certain amount of vehicles it can tune per account but it’s...
Yeah, the engine I had last burned in a fire right as I was prepping to install it so I chose this because it’s different, it should be potent and fun.
so far it hasn’t been super expensive overall.
I’m building a 1967 chevelle with a LLY(LBZ mechanically in the vans, just a weak tune) out of an 06 Chevy express van. (I picked the van because it comes with a 4l85 and that transmission requires no cutting to fit) the rig had 150k on it so I figured it was a prime candidate.
Got the engine...
