Ah, I understand... Thanks very much for the advice. Seems like the simplest option is to start all over again, so I might just see if I've got any old paint lying around that might work for simple pinstriping. Either that or I'll just peel the old stripes off and go for a uniform simplicity...
Thank you, much appreciated :)
Jeff, have you ever seen this sort of print before? Is a specialized aftermarket vendor additive or is it completely custom work do you think? You wouldn't happen to have an idea of an estimated price for these sorts of graphics if one were to order new decals...
I know, sorry. They are the only ones I had. I sort of assumed the graphics were standard and people would recognize them even from pics this bad if you know what I mean.
The ones I'm after are the graphics on the grey areas on the doors and the sides of the truck bed, the black and grey striped...
I hope you're right, however this is Sweden and things are far more costly than they would be in the USA... Which is why I had hoped to be able to order some simple stickers from an overseas firm and have them posted here. Interesting, I always assumed it to be completely original... I do know...
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that! Custom vinyl decal sounds expensive though... But there are no regular stock original stickers to be bought anywhere then?
Cheers,
Anton.
Hi all!
My truck has at some point had its front fenders replaced due to rust, and the new ones were mounted as they were: Matte black base coat. I just recently got around to dealing with the color issue and had the fenders repainted using simple spray cans (matches the original color sort of...
That's severely cool! I might just copy that setup, if I may :D Oh, by the way. If I may go slightly off topic: Where do you get one of those turbo boost gauges, and how do you fit it? Can you get one to go with the stock turbo and get a reading on how much boost you're making, or is it strictly...
That's cool! Very nifty, got everything withing reach so to speak... Too bad my dash looks different, but maybe I might be able to translate some of the idea to my trucks year... I'm gonna check it out, thanks for the tip! :)
I understand. It doesn't really matter what kinds of gain you'd make anyhow, their just numbers on a paper. What matters is how the truck behaves, and if you'd have to sacrifice reliability for power I'd rather not temper with it. As I said, I'd rather not mess too much with the hardware because...
Your list is very detailed and a very good place to start I think, than you very much for sharing! :)
Seems I've got soem options then! I think I will save up for one of the switchable chips, seems to me like everyone who's got one really loves it and that must mean something. Just need to get...
Hi!
Aha, now I get it. Thanks very much for clarifying! So there is no way of getting the original control panel to control a modern stereo? Adjusting volume and changing track I mean.
Do you know what kind of stats the original amp has? I probably will lay down some new cables anyhow as I'm...
