I had the diamond aftermarket pre-cups installed on my GEP heads at Diesel Depot/Avant Salvage in GA[sorry no link].[they were being shipped from down that way anyhow] There is some slight machining needed to make them fit. They do sell just the aftermarket pre-cup if you want to save the crazy...
You might change your mind about changing the pre-cups when you see the price of new ones. Most if not all used ones have cracks and will crack further when removed.
All the main bearings are select fit. A standard size set won't give accurate clearances on all journals. Penninsular Diesel in...
Bulkpart transmission[internet, sorry lost my links] sells the sonax kits for the pressure valve and TCC valve. Both can be done without removing the trans.
Yep. Injectors have a engineering spec that they are made to. Parts interchange between brands that have that spec number.[097 for a 6.5] The problems come in when the material and workmanship aren't to that engineering spec.
Yes and 2wd. That number insert will work on a 76 chevy v-8 in a car or truck. Very wide application. The ES catalog is rather confusing when it comes to the motor mount inserts.
Not exactly "street legal" turn signals and marker lights but neither is the bumper height in most states. Not shure what you need 10 headlights for either. The lower headlights look like the ones on 88-89 chevys.
Genuine Bosch Nozzles will have "Bosch', Logo and part number laser etched on the side. If any of those 3 things is missing they are forgeries. There was a big batch of fakes pedaled around the country.
As for Ebay policing the scammers, good luck. The times I have had problem they would do...
I've used the energy suspension#3.1116R on several engines. If you put the insert in backwards-end to end, it won't allow the engine to go down.[the r is the color b would be black]Here's a pic of a 4wd mount with the insert in correctly
I measured both off of the clutch side of the flywheel, with a precession straight edge, and subtracted for the difference. The engine side isn't machined at all except for the crank flange.
On a side note, the Luk flywheel and clutch has about 30% less surface area than the GM flywheels and...
The same co. that made the OEM cooler[Long/Tru-cool ] Makes a taller oil cooler that fits the lower bracket and has 1/2 pipe thread ports[L7B?]. They are made in Canada. Leroy /PMD Cable.com can get them. Member Bobbiemartin put one on his suburban and just modified the top bracket.
