Thanks for the fast reply! As you now know I have a DS4 IP and had the recall done at 55,000 miles.....Now it has 80,000 miles.
About the LP you mentioned that GM pinched pennies and I wrote maybe the 5.5 psi LP was the reason for the recall for the failing IP.
No one will never know why...
dbrannon79 & Will L. and everybody:
I removed my original lift pump today (this is the original that came with the new motorhome). It is a Delco #6443439. Only to find out that the max output is 5.5 psi.

Thanks Again dbrannon79 for the Quadstar information. I looked it up and it looks like it's a big program that they do to the PCM.
Where mine is located I would have to take the whole dashboard apart to get to it.
My house batteries and the push button switch will give me enough power to heat...
dbrannon79 and everybody= I already put in that push button and have 12 plus volts.
All wire ends fit tight and each wire checked out at 12 plus volts.
My rig is a "1996 with the OBD2 system".
I checked the Motes cite and it does not show anything past 1995- unfortunately .
Will L. and Everybody: I let the fuel sit in the container for three days...clean...no signs of anything.
Will L.: That is quit a write up about the 6.5...I read this over and over. You must eat, sleep , and drink the 6.5's!
I believe the best tests (we've already done so far) were:
1. We...
I'll let the fuel settle till tomorrow.
You've sent me the picture I attached showing the blue cap on the injection pump . The other picture shows my set up and dbrannon79 red circled spot that I removed off my injection pump. Then connected my pressure gauge to that hose and then connected...
Back to everybody! Test #1 -After 15 seconds with key on- pump turns off....see quart picture attached showing close to 1/2 qt of diesel....double that and you'd probably get around 30 seconds.
Also removed wire connector from oil pressure switch - still turns off at 15 seconds. Please...
Thanks dbrannon79 for the specs on the two pumps. Now that I know I have a DS4 injection pump and the original lift pump has lasted 29 years.
I have no idea what lift pump is on my Chevy P30 chassis. The lift pump part number is facing the frame- so I can't see it till I remove it.
Looking at...
Sorry! The part I ordered is 5/16 - not 15/16.

Will L. and dbrannon79 and everybody : I ordered the 15/16 inline fitting with id 1/8" NPT Port today.
Also would like your opinion of this AutoBest Fuel Pump (lift pump) - same as it came originally on my motorhome- but flows 15% more. I attached picture. Haven't ordered it yet. Thanks ...
Thanks Will L. and dbrannon79 for all the extra work looking up all the fittings and information.
Here's my quart report: Battery 12.7 Volt, hose in container, unscrewed T-valve, turned key to on, fuel started into container- no air good flow, after 17 seconds lift pump stopped running, turned...
Now I'm really confused. But still appreciate all the help!
Two pictures and two different places.
Will L.'s picture showing an arrow for a different place.
It would help if = Any one has a picture of their "T" fitting with gauge mounted in the proper place.
This is the picture of the clear hose that I put in a long time ago. Is this the place where you want me to put the "T" fitting with a gauge?
Also I still have to do the 1/2 gallon test lift pump test and I will do both at the same time once I find the "T" fitting.
Thanks again for your help!
