    thanks for the reply. I know I'm screwed. LOL. I've had enough junk for enough years that I'm fairly used to things breaking and draining my wallet. I think I've already decided to run it for a bit and see if it will go for a while. I'm never too far from home, so the worst will be a phone call...

    should I do my tranny, or does it have a few miles left?

    My tranny has been throwing slipping codes for a while now, and I cut the filter open and there are bits of bushing in there. So I need to redo it, but I'm wondering if it will let go with a bang, or will the slipping get worse and worse? It would be nice to put it off for another 6 months, but...
