hell no....gonna sit in the basment incase it ever needs to go back on for an inspection
 
talk about a pile of mpg killing, power robbing, temp increaseing, restrictive crap......idk why I waited so long to do it....
 
in NY you are supposed to have the cat and dpf installed to pas your annual saftey inspection
 
yeah but it is part of the federal emissions program...so I do believe they can fail your inspection if the factory installed emission devices have been removed.....i could be wrong though

I dunno, I Asked the Shop down here that does my Inspections before I took the Cat off, and they said if I have Passenger Plates on my Truck (IF I can get them) then there is a Saftey Inspection only.

That might be the thing for you, do you have Passenger Plates or Commercial?
 
Either way, it don't cost nada to hang onto them, and they're REAL pricey to replace if you need to buy new ones...
