Thinking about the cozy summer temps in Vegas. With the addition of gm6 the egt's are up there and cool drizzly days made a big difference. Thinking of straight water injection.

I realize the expansion of the water to mist in the intake would cool the water, but how much would the water help if it is 115* -125* .

Has anyone played with cold vs warm vs hot water?

It's not the water temperature that cools, it's the latent heat properties of the water as it changes state from liquid to gas. (IE: as it changes from the "mist" to vapor while absorbing the heat in post compressor air).

Water has a very high rate, so it cools the air as it "flashes".

The base starting temperature is essentially immaterial in consideration of the state change properties....

Also, spray water out of a misting bottle, hot and cold, they are both literally coming out the same temp.
