Does anybody on here still do VIN Checks?
Depending what you are looking for you can go to vindecoder.com
I tried vindecoder.com, and that didn't work. www.vindecoder.net is a valid site. Too damn many suffixes.
Neither of these sites tell me what all the codes on the label in the glove box mean! A few years ago there was someone who could read your VIN and give you every bit of information on the glove box label like if it has limited slip or the gear ratio or remote unlocking.
Does anybody on here still do VIN Checks?
Thats not good but I guess since GM became Government Motors they would stop doing a lot of things to help the consumer. I remember someone on here ran my 96 Sierra for me and it really helped and I found some other sites besides http://www.c2e.info/rpocodes/ to help us out, one is http//www.decodethis.com , another is http//aplsweb.com/Topics/TopicPix/RPO.pdf, both have helped me decipher the 94 Jimmy S15 I just purchased, Thanks to all who replied!GM put an end to the VIN checks.
I've had great luck with this site: http://www.compnine.com/vid.php
