Well I started this thread to show my cobbled up work. But now am just showing how dumb I am with computers. Anyway. Got the sidewinder on last night and now just have to shorten up the down pipe to make it fit and fab up the oil return. Then she will be up and running if anyone has advice on how to post pics I would greatly appreciate it

I had the banks turbo on my 6.5 and it wasn't too bad, I managed to get about 17psi with stock ECM. Flows better then the gm turbo but not by much.

Did you have the wastegated or non wastegated sidewinder. This was pulled off of a 7.3 idi that had the whole banks kit so I stole the guages and turbo for myself.

The 6.2 Non gated turbo is quite a bit smaller than the 7.3/6.9 version. The ford version will spool a lot like an ATT, might not be as good as an ATT but should be good enough

Your not linking them right. Hit the IMG link on PB, then right click and copy, paste here or use the pic image above this writing.

thanks for being so patient with me. i am now using my wife's mac book so i still don't know how to right click this stupid thing only has one button. but i got those up and you can all scroll around my photobucket for the rest of the pics. i am having the dp re-welded on tuesday (i had to shorten it about a 1/2 an inch). but once that is done i will attempt to post a video of the first start up and maybe a test drive. so far every thing went quite smooth (other than that darn dp) had to use a small section of hose for the oil return line and and make a second cut to my intake manifold to get it to line up just right. i am hoping to make a whole different one anyway. i am excited to see how it runs. i am still running the stock tune with just an exhaust and cone filter with a little optical bump so it should be interesting. on the 7.3 i pulled it from it would only make about 12-13 psi but that was very clean no smoke. i know i am pushing a bit more fuel than it was so i am interested and impatient to get it done. well i will keep you all up to date as soon as it is finished

Well it is all wrapped up. So far I am very happy but still need to make a few tweeks. The only gripe I have is that the wastegate opens up at about 10psi. It seem to have about the same power at 9-10psi as the gm4 did at 13-14psi. The big diference is when the boost comes on! It starts spooling at a much lower rpm and pulls hard until it hits the wall know as a wastegate. So now the only question I have is, is there any way to adjust these things. It is a Mitsubishi wastegate and I don't see any way to adjust when it opens up. O and it sounds evil. This turbo whistles like crazy. Almost to loud. So does anyone know a trick to get more out of these wastegates. I feel it would really have a lot more to it if it would stay closed

Just looked at pics, looks good. Could'int help but notice that you PMD is on the intake. Thats the worst place for it. I recomend you get it out of engine bay. Also, whats the coolant hose coming out of Tstat and looping down towards rad?
