What year? And what did it come off of to have a dash pot on it? There are about 4 different 454 TBI units to my knowledge. 87-90, 91-92, 93, then 94-95. 87-92 are pretty much the same TBI unit, but the TPS changed in 91. Around 93 they changed the IAC from the screw in to the one that bolts on with 2 screws, and 94-95 was the high pressure unit with small injectors.

I don't know the exact fitment but I do know this unit was for UHAUL 454 trucks (tall deck?) and the units part number is higher that those TBI units that are generally listed by vendors. I'll track which TPS is on it, try to identify the injectors too.

I bought 4 of them from UHAUL and used one on my 1995 2500 454 Burb, the units part number is higher that those TBI units that are generally listed by vendors. It has the 93+ style iac, so it could be a 93 with the 80 or 85 lb hr injectors, or a 94-95 with the 40 lb hr injectors(going from 12 psi to 30 made them flow 90). Going to have to try and track the numbers on the injectors. And it takes a custom tune to put one of these on a small block.

The units # 17094020 D 2843 KKU I can't find anywhere, the only injector # I find is RI 694 5106 I suspect this is a Rochester injector but can't find that on the web either.....thinking it was a run just for UHAUL now.

Did some digging and the throttle body number comes up as a 94 454 cali emissions model. Couldn't find anything on the injectors. The one with visible numbers is an aftermarket replacement, and the other one with a visible allen screw is an oem that has been glass beaded and the numbers appear to be gone. So you most likely have the odd ball 454 tbi unit that runs at 30-40 psi because of the small 46 lb hr injectors. If you bolt that one onto a small block you'll be lucky if it even runs without installing a higher pressure pump.

As always FERM thanks for the facts, I suspect it's not really worth much other than what someone is willing to pay.
It makes sense it's a cali spec because UHAUL used them in mass in cali stores.

I came up with more info; 50 mm x 2 bores, fitment is 1994/1995 454 cali emissions, round TPI plug.

All the 454 tbi's are roughly 2 inch bores that flow roughly 660-670 cfm. They also only came setup for a throttle cable and cruise on some, but never a provision for a tv/kickdown cable. So if you put it on a small block with a 4l60/700r4 or any trans needing a cable or kickdown linkage connection, you have to do some work.

Good to know, thanks.

he has a 454 manual transmission and my only issue is he needs 4 vacuum ports on the bottom and front. other than that I do believe you could possibly have something he needs the one on there now, i believe does not belong there. I want to do this for my husband for fathers day. He has been by me with my cancer and chemo and always helping me. I just want to do this for him Please answer as soon as you can thanks

Can anyone on this community help me to find a TBI for a 454 engine? Or direct me to someone or someplace to go!
