Plastic Pulleys

Why GM? Why?

Anyone else have problems with the plastic tensioner pulley on the 6.0L gas engine?

the first rib is gone and there is a crack across a few more

The pulleys run a lot cooler and last a long time. I had an idler bearing on my mower that would only last a few seasons. The thing would get red hot. Took an old plastic idler off my truck and stuck it on there and the thing is still running and you can touch it and don't get burned.

That's the first I seen break.

A puppy tencher from a 5.7 should work and it would probably last a lot longer
