WW, what's your thoughts on the elbow design on the GM3? We know it's a tight bend there but I'm trying to decide how to go about the elbow for my HX35W..

Do I build a 90 that's open, as in, not covering the waste gate flapper (like GM3) ...or... go with a similar bolt on flange (flapper somewhat covered) pictured on the HX above?

Somehow I'd like to wedge in a 3.5 downpipe, so that might afford me some pipe material to fit to more of an 'oval-ish' opening on the flange/turbo hotside.

I had trouble with the downpipe on the HX40II being 1" too far back and hitting the rear AC lines near the firewall. (VS. an ATT install) Rattled like hell. The GM3 design is horrible and caused a lot of turbulence. I would make a smooth as bend as possible and no tighter than 90 degrees over 1-2"

Recall the narrow pipe would be a short distance. Bends make more restriction than a narrow straight run of pipe. The HX40II had a 2.5" downpipe connection to the main 3" downpipe.
