we just swapped a 08 lmm out with a 10 lmm and now we get no crank and no start, we have checked all fused and connections and everything is plugged in and good. The 08 was a 3500 Silverado truck and the 10 is out of a 10 3500 van, could this be the security system lockout or ecm not compatible?

A 2010 van should not be an lmm, in 2010 vans got the lgh and 6l90e trans. Its a COMPLETELY different engine if it is in fact an lgh. Piezo vs solenoid injectors, cp4 vs cp3, different electronics, the whole shebang is different.

can tuning be changed with EFI live and maybe make it work or does it need to be pulled and sent back to place that said it would work and shoved into a crack and get money back

1st you need to figure out which engine you got. Most 2010 vans had the lgh engine with the 6l90e transmission, but car-part.com says there was some lmm's used in 2010. If its an lmm you're going to have to figure out what's keeping it from starting. Was everything reconnected when you swapped t-stat housings, harnesses, intake, and the rest. If so, are you getting rail pressure, cam, and crank signals? If its an lgh, you're better off pulling it, and finding the right engine as the lmm ecm cannot control the cp4, or fire the piezo injectors. And I have no idea about cam/crank sensors, reluctor wheels, or the rest.

And even if you did get an lmm, make sure you swapped the entire harness and sensors from your 08. Even though GM lists the lmm going from 07.5-10, there is 2 different gens of the lmm. 07-08 was one control system, then in late 08 they made some changes to the wiring and sensors almost msking a different gen engine. Then you have truck vs van engine and wiring differences so a van engine won't run on s truck ecm without swapping and making the van engine into a truck engine.
