Thanx for the add this is my 86 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with a full roller 427. 6 months ago this happened
but the good news is the engine was saved the truck is almost driveable again will post more pics soon

427 is My most favorite BB enjun.

well i finally got to drive it had 1 issue that could have been worse than what was the rubber steering coupler right above the steering box broke turning a corner all is good didnt hit anyone fixed it and drove home

There is a real nice steer shaft setup, without the rag joint, available from Twisted Steel Performance.
My plans are to try and get one for My truck.

Welcome to the Truckstop! I agree with @MrMarty51, other than the BBC 402 in my old '72 Monte Carlo I had 42 years ago back in High School and College, my favorite BBC is the 427. Especially aluminum block ones!
