Tools Required

J 25034-C Pulley Remover

    <LI type=1>Remove the crankcase ventilation hoses from the valve rocker arm covers.

    <LI type=1>Disconnect the crankcase vent hose from the engine block.

    <LI type=1>Remove the fuel injection control module harness bracket nuts (1). <LI type=1>Remove the fuel injection control module harness bracket (2). <LI type=1>Remove the schrader valve (3). <LI type=1>Remove the schrader valve bracket (4).

    <LI type=1>Remove the right idler pulley retaining bolt. <LI type=1>Remove the right idler pulley. <LI type=1>Remove the left idler pulley bolt. <LI type=1>Remove the left idler pulley. <LI type=1>Remove the tensioner pulley bolt. <LI type=1>Remove the tensioner pulley.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
    <LI type=1>Remove the vacuum pump pulley using J 25034-C - California Emissions. <LI type=1>Remove the vacuum pump bolts - California Emissions. <LI type=1>Remove the vacuum pump- California Emissions.

    <LI type=1>Remove the drive belt tensioner and generator mounting bracket bolts.
  2. Remove the drive belt tensioner and generator mounting bracket.
