Hello my name is tyler and im new the forum, and also proud new owner of a 95 6.5 vin f. I have read alot about the truck and engine, and I have installed an cold air intake and full 4 inch exhaust with 3 inch downpipe. Today I made my own boost controller but not a 100% sure if it the right spring? I used to springs back to back with a washer between them and they are out of a rear brake hardware kit I had laying around. Spring length togeher is about 2 1/2 inches. Main reason for not being sure is I really don't hear turbo anymore.

Welcome to the site.

Do you have a Boost gauge? You'll need that to ascertain how much boost you're making and what direction you need to go to get the boost steadied up to where you want it.

Yeah I have compressed the spring. Is there any way to hook a vacuum guage up quickly to c the boost? I want to put a guage pod in with boost and pyro just don't have yet. And yeah I can post some pics later today

If you're going to run a homemade manual boost setup and plan to crank it up, a boost gauge is not just recommended...it is essential!

Go get one before you start messing around more.

Not enough boost means black smoke and screaming egt's, too much boost means.......well...........possibly........KABOOM!

;)
