Now offering a kit so you can install HID headlights as your back up light. Will work on most any vehicle. I have installed these on several trucks and they are stuning in the difference (like day and night). They make a great work light also. I use mine almost daily. Women love them too because they make seeing whats behind you while backing up easier.
I posted a couple years ago about a Ford Super Duty I converted and some pepole had concerns about using HIDs as back up lights.
They were:
1. Q) Will they come up to full brightness because you are not in reverse long enough?
A) Yes they will if you are backing up for more than 2 seconds. They come up to full brightness in the same time as headlights take.
2. Q) Do they get to hot for the housing?
A) No, not in my expeience. I have had mine on for 30 minutes at a time with no problems. Had a customer (yesterday) leave his on and forgot about them. More than 2 hours later he went out to a dead battery, but atleast we know they did not get hot.
I have been told many times that HIDs have a lower temp than halogens. I never took a reading so can't say for sure.

I will be selling complete kits for $199+shipping
OR I will sell just the adapter that attaches to the lens. The adapter allows the HID bulb a means to attach. The adapters a machined from alluminium and are $30+shipping for two. That way you can use the HID kit of your choice. (880 bulbs)
My kit includes:
HID light kit
Alluminium lens to HID bulb adapter
Relay harness
10 ga supply wire
triger wire w/manual swicth
wire loom
2 fuse holders
Misc butt connetors, zip ties.

Until I find time to put these on the web site please PM/email me if you would like to buy a set/kit

Pictures to follow next.

Not Bad at all.

They are EXTREMELY BRIGHT!

Thank you, As with many things its hard to appreciate just looking at pictures. Once you experience them you won't want anything else.

Looking for a set in H16. Or maybe yours are compatible?
I am definitely not the HID expert and really do not want to be, so I made my kit to fit 90% of the vehicles out there using the HID kit with 880 bulbs. If that works for you let me know.

Nice and bright Leroy!

Thanks Leo.

Oooo!!! Just had a Thought!

If these will Fit in the 315x Spot on the Rear Lamps, then why couldn't they Fit in the 315x Spot on the Front Lamps for HID DRL's? ;) :D

You may be on to something there, but I am totally ignorant as I do not own the style truck you are refering to.
Is that something the "Dmax'ers" would like to have??
I have to go now. Will check in again later around 10:00 cst
PM/email me some info if you want.

If you're Adapter Fits in the Reverse Spot on a '99 & Newer Truck, that Takes a 3157 Bulb.

The DRL also Takes a 3157 Bulb.

So I don't See why your Adapter wouldn't Fit in the DRL Spot as well.

I get it now. Im not up on the bulb terms, so did not know what 315x meant. But , yes this will work inplace of the 3157 socket. Should be a very do'able convertion.
Gone til 10:00 now.

Sure would!! The most recent Chevy I did was an 08 1/2 ton and it does not have DRL on it. Did only some models get them? I think it would vaporize anything in front of it with 4 sets of HID's???????:Justwait2:

The '07.5 and Newer Trucks Use the Low Beams as the DRL, whereas the '99-'07 Trucks had Dedicated DRL Bulbs.

Link up with OrionThade completed Saturday and I now have his OEM units on my truck and my LED units with Reverse Bulb Size 921 are on the way to Webster TX as of this morning.

Great! I will let you know when they get here. Can you PM me the tracking #.

I installed a set on a 2011 F350 yesterday. They have a simular bulb as yours (if not the same)

I got good news today. Leroy picked up the tailights and called to say the HID reverse lighting kit will fit my LED set up quite nicely without issue. Excellent. I'll let him post up the details for all to enjoy.
