Help in identifying this manual transmission?

Went and took a look at a manual transmission today. Supposedly a 5-speed out of a 1990.

Should I rush back there and pick this up because I had no idea what I was looking at?

I will attach a photo of the ID tag from the side of the case. I can't find any info on whether or not this came in Chevys or GMCs. Also apparently this truck was a 2wd. Can this be adapted to work with my current TH400/NP241c setup?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the 90 was a Topkick C6500... definitely a large transmission not meant for 2wd pickup use, let alone a 4wd pickup.... :) Not saying you cant make it work, but a NV4500 would go in alot easier.

Thanks guys. I won't be heading back in that case. I thought perhaps he had an SM465 which I probably would have bought off him even though it's 4th and final gear is still 1:1.
