I have been thinking about the heater hose, or bypass hose restrictor.
Will that make a difference of the engine cooling for a 2000 year 6.5t ?

The OEM quick connect is orficed slightly, and the 6.2L's heater hose nipple fitting is also orficed. I have never thought much of the hardware store bar fitting route many take when deleting the quick connect.

IMO run the OEM fitting or get a 6.2L nipple, dont do anything else.

Mr. Marty are you talking about the bypass restrictor fitting that Leroy sales.

If so, I have read that some people with the double tstat crossover and 2000 year balanced flow water pump don’t see the temperature rise as much using Leroy’s fitting as they did before. Especially pulling a load.

I don’t see how it can’t help since it’s making more water go through the radiator to be cooled.

I’m either going to buy Leroy’s or make my own one of these days.

Yup, ordered one in from Leroy. Thought about restricting the fitting I have, just was concerned about getting it too small and creating other problems.
