Just bought a 1989 chevy step short bed. I'm redoing the interior door panels seats, radio, cab panels, safety belts, etc. I have been to the junkyard collecting parts. I'm not sure what inner changes. I found a 88 GMC a lot looks like it would work. it had a needle (analog) gauge cluster and my 89 has the funky looking moon dials. will it plug and play? any tips would be helpful! newbie

88-early 91 trucks all had the moonie clusters, mid year 91 GM switched to a partial year only needle cluster. If you find a 91 needle cluster, they fetch about $300. 88-91 interchange for the most part. Most interior pieces sre 88-94, but the dash and wiring us 88-91 and 92-94.
