And Toyota Looking at Cummins for the Tundra

The CUMMINS name is the only reason they would do it. TOYOTA already makes world class diesels under the HINO name in almost every country BUT the US.

Did not realize that Hino was Toyota. I thought Hino was a Mexican diesel manufacturer.

I believe that Yanmar marine diesels are a derivative Toyota product.

Cummins (CMI) is up 2.5% today; 18% since I bought it back in June.

I hear now that Toyota is considering a Cummins for the Tacoma. They're going to call it the Cum Taco.

YANMAR is a derivative of TOYOTA from way back, but they are now all YANMAR. HINO trucks overseas are all built by TOYOATA, just like the DODGE trans used in the cab and chassis trucks and the new 850 ft lb output trucks is made by AISIN which is TOYOTA.
