I'm looking at ditching the 4l60e and going 4l80e just want to make sure I'm getting the right transmission not sure on what years work with what I know the wiring has to change a little trans lines have to be changed and shorter drive shaft and spacer for my torque converter and the flywheel from a 6.0 if I'm "correct" which I may not be but if I buy a transmission from older then 99 will I need to change anything else or will it bolt right up with all the other changes

Welcome to The Truck Stop.

I am sure some of these very knowledgeable guys will chime in soon with some advice.

My 4l60e is losing 2nd and overdrive and I'm gonna be make some engine upgrades and be right around 6 to 700 hp and 4l60es cant handle that so I was gonna go 4l80e if it goes out I'll get it built and be good to go
