Hey guys so ive noticed a issue with my 6.5l. Im hoping just glow plugs.
Anyway if it sits over night the next day it will start then die then it will crank for 10-20 secs maybe and start runs rough for few secs give it throttle it will smooth out im thinking this is more a fuel issue then glow plugs. Timing is perfect its not that. What do yall think?

Sounds like fuel draining back to tank.
It is starting on the fuel in the ip, but line is dry so it runs out of fuel.
Cranky cranky cranky gets fuel sucked by the ip up to it from the tank and runs finally.

Glow plugs if not working will not let it fire up easy at all. Then once it does start, that heat in the cylinder from running even a couple seconds- will make it easier to start faster the next try. But to verify- plug in the block heater a few hours before starting, even overnight if you need. Then if it starts easily and runs great from the beginning- yes glow plug circuit.

I have 14 psi of fuel pressure (fass lit pump) what would cause fuel drain back leaking fuel line bad ip lift pump?

A leak somewhere pre pump usually helps it drain back easier if not a not pump.
Definitely try the block heater thing first though.

Are you seeing fuel pressure from the beginning? Like turnon key and fuel pressure in positive side through out the start, die, crank, restart? If you have fuel pressure the entire time forget the fuel draining off- that would prove that theory wrong.

Clear piece of hose from the IP to the return pipe ? See if there is air being sucked into the fuel system with engine running. If there is air being sucked in, might look like a sort of a foam blowing through that tube.

You definitely have a leak. What is the condition of your fuel lines to the IP?

Be sure to use the correctly rated hose if you change the fuel lines.

The FFM/fuel filter housings are also known to leak.

There has to be an air leak before the lift pump. Loose clamp, hole in a hose or tube, could even be within the fuel tank.
Look all that over real well and take appropriate actions.
Leak in the valley, remove the intake manifold and see if You can determine where the leak is coming from.
Seals under the FFM, fuel hoses, etc.

Not necessarily. It could be anywhere before the IP and suck air in.
