Now that it’s up and running, nest is making it so all the family can go camping. I spent some time looking for factory seats to maybe reupholster and install. My wife gave the idea to se if we could just put in a center seat. My wife went with me to a salvage yard to look for ideas. We found two seats center seats from non extended cab chevys. They are riged unlike the early 2000’s that offered storage. The grey seat I purchased just for the cup holders.

I took a full day of measuring, trimming, and bolting down. In addition to cleaning the carpet due to the seats being out. I now have 6 seats for a family campout that doesn’t involve a minivan for the past 10 years.

That’s a good idea and a clean looking install.

Was it pretty much bolt in. What did you have to trim.

Yes to the bolt on. It has 4 feet and the seat is longer then existing seats. The trimming was the back feet had the edges curve up. I had to trim the edges to get it to lay flat under the exhisting seats. The front feet I had to form fit around the transmission tunnel. We liked the seat, because it already had the seatbelt bolted on it. I didn’t had to add it.
