I completed my fuel filter change in 13 minutes.... :D

What a joke the dealer wants to charge for changing a fuel filter. $19 for the filter and 13 minutes.... screw the dealer

I still like mine better. I can change mine under ten but it's that damn 30 bucks for the filter. I've got the old model 80 box style

That's quick, it takes me that long to get the filter wrench on the filter. It takes me about 40 minutes. Filters are $45 around here.

Lube the o-ring and center gasket, no need to torque it down with a wrench and it'll come off by hand the next time. I loosen it from up top, lift the corner flap of the fender liner from where it hits the rear part of the UCA, stick my arm up there, unscrew it and pull it out through the corner where I lifted the fender liner. Installation is performed the same way... tighten from up top by hand.

5 min tops, including changing out the WIF sensor and o-ring. No fuel spilled either (okay, I did drop it once).

no fender liner or battery removal required. it takes some contortionist training.....:D

yes cobb we charge an hour to do it. that is 100 bucks plus the filter. freeken scam if i ever saw one.

I have done it both ways. It does take a little longer from the top. I removed my fender well liner so all I do it reach in and take off and reinstall...

I don't remove anything either, but I might try removing the battery next time to see if thats any easier. I'm hoping to have the filter spacer kit for the next time.

I've tried all the methods and pulling the battery seems easiest for me. Takes me longer than 13 minutes though...

I have changed mine 2 or 3 times but never removed anything either, doesn't seem worth the hassle. I do need to buy a WIF wrench, that thing is a pain to get off of there, I have already chewed up the outside of mine.

Any need to push the A/C lines a little, or just pull the battery? I can tell our LMM's are slightly different in that area of the engine bay then my '06 LLY was. I didn't need to pull the battery on my '06 but looks like I will need to do so on my '08.

Use a pair of channellocks in the bottom of it; the way it's molded there are two slots opposite each other that the nose end of a pair of channelloks (not the teeth, the nose end part) will fit into perfectly, then just use the whole thing to turn it.

I have a pair of the Channel locks with the opening in the teeth... Works great just don't over tighten....

Wrecker I need to pm you for price on oil.... my supplier is getting expensive...
