I'm looking at Warn winches for my Kaw 650. I think the 2500# should be enough. Anyone have thoughts between the RT or XT series? Is the 25 enough or should I bump to the 3000# rating? Other random input?
I got stuck in my own damn driveway thismorning because my 4wd wouldn't engage. When I press 4hi there is an audible click outside the truck, the 4hi light flashes and service 4wd comes up on the DIC. I'm thinking the actuator is frozen, it's 3F this morning.
Any thoughts?

55600 miles and my front passenger wheel bearing is toast, and I mean bad. It was just on the other side of Hell No Don't Drive It. It's at my buddy's right now on the lift, getting a 3yr Raybestos replacement. No, I don't have time to do it myself :mad2:
And don't tell me the Raybestos is...
Generally oil "Improvement Additives" fall into 3 categories.
1. Viscosity improvers- Products like STP Oil Treatment, Motor Honey, etc. They contain long chain hydrocarbons that raise the kinematic viscosity of the lubricant, thereby temporarily reducing blowby and smoking. They also tend to...

Sampling Methods
1. The component sampled should be brought to operating temperature prior to sampling. This will assure that the insoluble and semi-soluble material is suspended evenly throughout the system. Samples taken from components that have been inactive for long periods are not...

In the last year the industry has seen a great deal of volatility in crude oil and raw material costs, forcing lubricant companies, including AMSOIL, to implement a series of price increases and energy surcharges to compensate. Fortunately, costs eventually fell and stabilized, allowing AMSOIL...

I just read the codes from my retired buddy's 01 Cummins, mostly stock: straight pipe, K&N Drop In filter.

He's complaining of bad fuel mileage, any ideas?
A good friend of mine is an older fellow who wants better fuel mileage out of his 01 Cummins extended cab w/ auto trans. Right now he has a K&N drop in filter, straight piped exhaust and a Hypertech tuner on the shelf (no longer using it).
He has a budget of $1000.00 and wants better mileage...
