I'm tuning this Allison with hptuners,and hate the delay it has for downshifts. I dont know if its hydraulics or electrical. I deleted all tm, and increased line psi via force motor. Upshifts are better,just lags about 10 sec for a kickdown/ passing gear.

This is the cam card from my first cam. It had way more power,and super quick spool up. But had egr from overlap,so it started hard ,and ran off of its own exhaust . Basically it ran horrible untill the turbo spooled.

Rebuilding a 506 block for a custumer. Had it cleaned and magnufluxed. Has no crackes. Started welding the rear coolant ports shut. Used nickle wire.

To get max psi to the tcc clutch, I pluged a hole in the separator plate,and drilled a hole in the valve body. I also replaced the tcc valve spring ,with a softer one.

I cut an old head to check the thickness of the deck . Notice the channel were some people sleeve them to seal off cracks between the valves.

My next motor I would like to purposely build for top end power,and as many rpms as possible. 5000 rpms at the lowest. Feel free to post any ideas. Is a custom ground cam necessary ? High or low compression ? Would retarding the stock cam help ?

A 6.5 piston is .615 thick in the center,and the 6.2 piston is only .425. They are both original GM pistons.

I'm thinking of getting a smaller diameter crossover pipe made . The one I have is 2 1/4 inch, but I'm considering 1 1/2 inch pipe. I wrapped the manifolds and will wrap the crossover pipe also.
