The Allison 6 speed on my LBZ always locked in 5th and unlocked in 2nd under normal driving conditions. Now, with the LML I'm unsure what those points are. I have heard lock was in 3rd. Seems odd to me. Keep in mind, in my instance, Wherli has changed the trans tune when they did the CP3 conversion.
It's official now. At 32,500 miles The truck is ready with the CP3 conversion and a "few" other associated parts, new tires and wheels and the LBZ 06 goes to the nephew tomorrow morning.
Those of you in the northern rust belt states might want to keep an eye on your tank straps. I found the rear one broken today. Glad I didn't drop the tank on the trip to San Antonio and back 2 weeks ago.

Doing som pasture mowing a few days ago in some tall grasses when I found one of those recent stumps the hard way... Drove right up on it and mashed the pan. Got pretty noisy right away and I shut it down after hearing the reciprocating assembly complaining about the sudden lack of clearance...

About 250 hours ago I changed the coolant in my JD X540 tractor with the 26hp twin Kawasaki. I used some of that Peak brand, "add to any color, 150,000 mile universal" green stuff. I recall Ferman mentioning that I might not like that because it gets petty nasty. Yup... I can't remember ever...
