I have a nice brand new pump to install in the near future with new injectors. I want to ditch the factory filter setup and go with a spin on and replace the lines while Im at it.
Is the FTB mod worth doing on the pump inlet? Anything else I should be doing while Im at it?
After owning the ATT for some time and putting some miles on it I have found a downside to it. Lack of boost at 45-50 mph. I am up in NH and there is a lot of rolling hills where your speed is around 45 and the lack of boost requires more throttle input which results in the truck wanting to...
Like I said in 4lo the trans does not want to shift out of 1st gear, then once wound up it shifts hard. 2nd is all it will do no 3rd. I have not used 4 lo for a long time, no need so who knows how long it's been doing this.
The scanner reads super-boost but i forgot the code number. This happens when I nail it on the highway.
I never hit more than 14lbs of boost. I run Heaths tune and the ATT.
Not sure if this is possible with the 6.5's but it seems my truck is making oil now. I check the oil all the time and notice today it's higher on the stick than it should be. Do the injectors leak down and cause this?
It runs, starts and drives fine and even idles smooth.
My buddys truck is very hard to start lately. You need to crank it way to long. This has just started happening over the last 2 weeks he tells me.
It's an 05 F 350 6.0.
I think the ATT just needs more air than the filter and housing can deliver. It seems every time I pop the hood to check the oil the filter guage is tripped showing it needs replacement. The filter is a new Wix filter, maybe 3 months old. I hate oil filters but I need something better.

Lots of improvements, new fully boxed frames and higher GVW ratings, 6000lb front axle rating with snow plow prep available n all cab configurations with...
I pulled the bed off the truck tonight, removed the sending unit, guage was all over the place and I had a leak coming from up there. The factory lines were rotten around the crimp fittings and leaking bad.
I bought the new sender and the dealer even had new lines in stock, not cheap though...
This is where the ATT shines. It is a huge improvement over the GM 8. Less boost with more power. It pulls hard right to 3400rpm.
Total weight right around 10k lbs.
Just a small update to my ATT, passing power on the highway is so much better than stock. I had to watch my speed because it jumps up to 85-90 with ease. If I lose the 35in tires it would be even better I bet.
I am having a low power isse that I can only assume is the pump. It starts up quickly, runs smooth, gets good milage, basicaly runs like new. But power is down. EGTs will not get over 750 under full throttle up a nice 11% grade for a mile. No smoke at all.
Just to add, lift pump is working...
I am doing the ATT install and thought it would be an easy time to swap out the glow plugs and the harness. The connectors are all rusted and heat baked so the plastic has all broken off. I have a new harness but it's not the same.
Factory setup has the front 3 on the passenger side coming down...
Started the install tonight. Have the old GM 8 out. 3 pedistal bolts came out very easy, 1 sucked I had to grind off the nut with a die grinder which was very easy.
Oil supply line was corroded at the fitting and broke when I removed the nut off the turbo. Drainback tube bolts didn't want to...
