Well, I had another setback as the aftermarket 4th generation high pressure (white cover) 200 PSI transmission pressure transducer was not up to the task and failed, causing 2nd or 3rd gear starts w/no slippage. I attribute this to installing the max number of clutches that fit the case which...
The hoses that are outside the chassis rail on passenger side have quick connect fittings w/plastic retainers, I have one that has a broken retainer clip and wonder if that clip can be had or not?
I see there are 90 degree rubber tapered replacement hoses for that area .750" to .500" to rear...
Well, as they say an unknown came a bit me in the rear.
The 48RE started locking the TCC when I placed it into forward gear...and it was driving me bat s__t crazy trying to figure out why?
Of all RE transmissions the 48RE is the only one with this problem, which is most always a failed TCC...
I installed a driver side pull handle at the top of the front door roof panel, matches the other door pull handles now.
Used rivet nuts looks factory installed and helps me get in and out of the Burb...
No pictures yet as my photo app has taken another crap...
OK: I am at a standstill installing my stand alone trans controller.
The install directions, call for a "brake switch to ground for TCC"
Attached image hopefully is the correct one, circuit 420 "D" terminal is TCC
"so the question is; does it go to ground when pedal is pressed, or?"
OK, I am running a speed sensor in the NP241c t-case to the VSSB.
However; on the speedo sensor harness to the VSSB there is a wire coupler socket located on top of transmission case that has the same socket on each side that looks to "switch the wires from purple & green to green and...
I suspect many of have already seen the Banks differential cover series, well my gear guy claims what Banks found through research "flat-back diff covers suck". I have the same cover brand his team milled down for the video.
Gear guy alleges that the flat-back diff cover design led to my pinion...
Today, having a new 3.5" dia. driveshaft w/slip shaft & companion flange, built for my GMT425, 59.25" long, 14 bolt ff to t-case flange.
Then I have to finish the 9.25" IFS diff w/ARB locker and a new shaft for that, trying to convince boss-lady, I need the RCV performance axles for that too.
Up front, I can say, this is overkill, however; I made it fit my radiator support along with AC condenser, and P/S cooler, I will be using a weather front in colder weather.
I reduced the 3/4" NPTF ports to 180 deg. 8AN fittings to SS braided teflon hose to a few 90 deg. fittings from in/out...
Anyone know of a good source for strong ball stubs threaded on the other end?
I am using a 2000 or newer GM floor shifter which has a ball socket welded to it factory, the long rod has ball socket end fittings however the shift arm on the t-case NP241c late model has a hole and bushing not a...

Anyone know about fluid flow meters? I have eyes on a few .50 to 5.0-gallon fluid flow meters that have a max pressure rating of 3k psi and wonder if they will be right for my project which will see about 175 +- psi as worse case.
The plan is to measure transmission fluid flow out of...
Long story short the nano particle tungsten additive kept the motor running just fine but hot as hell w/o any coolant however the motor oil was toast changed oil and filter out did the hose and the car runs like nothing ever happened.

Been a little busy lately but playing catch up on this transmission build.
Today I figured what would work best and keep my 5 deg down front to back engine trans and found the 700r4 trans mount just right on the OD 4x4 Extension Housing. Here are some images of the OD 2wd unit next to the 4x4...
