    Updated tsb proportioning valve

So if I call the local stealership (not even the same state the vehicle was previously owned in) with the VIN of my 98 K2500 Burb, should they be able to tell me if it had been replaced with the updated valve under that tsb or not?

    Updated tsb proportioning valve

Was there a silent recall on those proportioning valves and dealer replacement if the vehicle came in for servicing, @THEFERMANATOR ? If a person was to run the VIN at a dealer could they be able to tell whether or not it has been replaced?

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Only a year ago? What was your hurry to put them on? :hilarious: :joyful: I should talk, I have stuff I bought eight years ago for projects that I haven't gotten to yet. My solace is I look at the money I saved by buying it back then when it was cheaper than it is now.

    New 2.8L Colorado Duramax

A serious road trip would be to California and back. Florida is just a little outing. LOL!

    New 2.8L Colorado Duramax

Looks like @BoostN needs to take a serious Interstate road trip to get some accurate highway MPG numbers!

    Updated tsb proportioning valve

That's not nearly as bad as I had imagined it could be, but not as cheap as I hoped it to be. I wonder if my '98 K2500 Burb has the new style proportioning valve in it or the old one. How do I go about telling @THEFERMANATOR ?

    New 2.8L Colorado Duramax

Yeah, I thought the EPA had that rated at like 28 MPG 2WD, 27 MPG 4WD HWY estimate when they came out. Those look almost like the City cycle MPG figures the EPA had put out for it.

I had an 85 Caprice Station Wagon with the 5.0L 307 Olds engine in it back in '97 with just over 100K on the odometer. What a piece of shit that 307 Olds motor was! Burned oil like an SOB, no power because a couple of cam lobes at least were gone and two cylinders were at less than 80 psi...

    Updated tsb proportioning valve

What was the cost (so I can prepare for sticker shock, if need be) of the valve?

Drove out of central DC and then northbound on the Beltway to catch I-270 up to Frederick then I-70 into Pennsylvania during Friday evening rush hour traffic in the Burb. That was fun.

Don't have that problem out here. Posted speed on I-80 is 75mph, traffic flow is usually about 83mph and our legislature passed a bill last year to raise some stretches to 85mph posted speed. If it weren't for all those semis jamming up the works, traffic flow on the boulevard would be so much...

Part of the reason she sold the house her parents had bought in 1946 (before all those artificial beaches were barged in, in fact, the house was one of the original beach houses built around 1900 and sat on pilings at the ocean's edge) was because it was no longer the Venice it was up through...

My cousin lived on Oceanfront Walk, Venice CA for over 60 years. The salt air destroyed a car about every 4-5 years. I remember her two year old Celica with the sun roof silicone caulk sealed shut to keep it from leaking because in two years it had started rusting out and leaking - even with...

I said that for two reasons 1) In July of '76, the summer between my Freshman and Sophomore years in High School, while on our family's four week long Bicentennial tour vacation up the East Coast in our motorhome, we stopped in Annapolis to tour the Naval Academy. I saw how those Midshipmen had...
