I run a 54 inch cut, zero turn, Cub Cadet with the steering wheel, to heck with trying to work those left and right levers. I mow some steep ground, I think I have an advantage with the steering wheel mower. I mow much steeper ground than what's in this picture. Yelp that's an old picture...
Sure thing @MrMarty51, I will tell him just like I have told him before. I will see him in a few months, he owns the land that I lease for deer hunting. He is a big black bear hunter that's taken several black bears, he has no fear, I have much respect for that man, he has been through so much.
Ok, we have talked about the pluses of the cab, I will mention one other benefit. Protection from debris and other dangerous projectiles.
Case in point: I know a man in his late 70's (he is a special one, more later on) that was on his big Kubota Tractor bush hogging one day. He was in a...
Be careful out there on your tractor, apparently dust and bees are not your only THREAT.
That cab is nice and maybe it can offer some protection from dust, pollen and such, maybe .22 Cal. gunfire.
This sure was a tragedy for sure for a guy, out bush hogging, on his own land.
2 children could...
Here, here, careful, what would ever convince you that good ole racing started in these here Appalachian Mountains...... ;)
You know it started with moonshiners hauling shine, but maybe it was something else, maybe these ole mountain boys wanted to test a vehicle to the limit, in the curves on...
@BoostN, nice looking truck, I hope it works out for you. What is the name of that color? My 2006, 2500HD is a Greystone Metallic, I do like gray or silver colors. I have had two red trucks but it seems like the grey or silver ones appeal more to me.
I can believe that, my basement stays in the 60's Fahrenheit, year round no matter what the temp is outside. That's without heating or cooling down there, three sides are under ground.
A classic for sure, I could write a best seller book about the old days of hauling some drunks around. Some of them drinking the real mountain moonshine, wanting to fight everyone they saw. Others I took them home and they crawled on all fours up a steep yard to their house.
You mentioned...
So sad for sure, but you would be amazed at the people that have driven over a human body in the roadway thinking it was an animal and just kept going......
Not many people will ever know what it looks like or smells like after a human body has been ran over by several vehicles...
I must add this part indeed. IF, there was not some sort of tire squealing or the back end was not hung out side ways then you were not doing your job at the wheel...... :D 😉
The GORGE was one H$LL of a place to test one to the limits for sure. Not by choice, but I put a many of vehicles to...
@THEFERMANATOR , your 99 was not a slouch for sure. It was as fast as some that I have driven.
Disclaimer: The ones I were driving were not plain Jane models they were PPV versions.
I drove some some early 2000's Tahoes with the 5.3 and the 4 speed I seemed to think they ate my 2011, 5.3...
Just remember the most Horsepower does not always win......;)
The most efficient drive train system that gets that power to the ground wins.............😄
