Well, did my first real tow this weekend with the Burb and my Kennedy Clutch and Dmax fan. The JK clutch is a waste of money as it does exactly what all the others do. It picks and chooses when it feels like engaging but after owning and towing with enough of these in different configurations...

There is a cheaper alternative to the Compushift although I have no personal experience. Can't remember the name but wanna say it was Optishift. Was around 600$. You have to watch emissions laws in your state. it is a violation of federal and some state laws to change a vehicle fuel type or...

Not all of the 24vs were bad but 53 blocks are more abundant. The KDP is an easy fix while the motor is out although a PIA in truck.

Some 12v's were known to be "53" blocks. If it says 53, I would not use it. Nate did a nice write up at the Garage..Anything 54+ is good with 56 being the strongest. My '02 had a 56 block. I should have kept it. http://www.thedieselgarage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78884

SO if I was going to keep my 6.2 J code heads it's not worth changing the pre cups to Diamond ones ? I would not know where to buy them anyway. My other option was buy another head from SS diesel to match the one I have and swap 6.5 heads on.

If I found one cheap which I doubt. The only affordable Dmaxs are LB7's. From what I read they are not bad save for injs and Hg's which I suppose is enough...:D
