Not to hijack the thread or anything, but ain't it funny how a gal with a diesel truck shows up and in a few short hours has 15 replies, and 88 views....I'm just sayin'. :hihi:
Guys are so predictable. Welcome aboard RebelGal...I know, I'm predictable too....:hello:
I really liked the Banks gauges and for 7 years they were great, too bad they don't work autonomously from the OTTO Mind. Anyways, I'll check out the site.
I used Autometer on my cars in the past, I was just wondering how they did in teh diesel applications. Thanks for the input.
I'm taking my Banks OTTO Mind out, which also runs my EGT and Pyro gauges. So, now I need these two gauges and was wondering what brand you guys are using? I guess it's between ISSPRO and Autometer, I don't know of any others.
Also, I have the A-pillar mount from Banks and wondered if the other...
Or you can pull the rear cover, it's usually stamped on the face of the gasket area on the housing not the cover...divide the two numbers for the gear ratio. If it is not the same ratio as the front, I wouldn't use 4wd anytime until they are the same.
My favorite, if that is even possible, is World's Finest Chocolate. That's the bar I used to sell for little league, and the stuff I buy from everyone that sells it!!!
After that these are a very close second!

I used to use 20% bio and the Stanadyne Performance Formula. Now that I don't have access to bio anymore I add the Lubricity Formula to help with lubricity. And, I use these additives every fill-up.
I guess I should have said the smoke is light colored, not black like a big smoke tune.
One point that is interesting, I did buy fuel from a different station this last fill-up a quick mart no less. I have been buyng it from Kroger....points and all. No smoke on acceleration, just at idle.

I have used Stanadyne Performance Formula almost from day one, and for the first years of the truck's life (about 8 years) I ran about 5-10% bio. Since the Bio is no longer available to me, (moved) over the last 1.5 years I have been also adding the Lubricity Formula. I also have a secondary...
From the Gear Vendors' FAQ website :
"The GEAR VENDORS, on the other hand, is built like an automatic. It has the expensive and reliable reaction planetary system, which is why it's compact and cylindrical in shape like your automatic. The GEAR VENDORS is designed to shift under any and all...
To reiterate, the Gear Vendor unit is more than just a second overdrive, in addition it splits the gear shifts of the other gears as well. This part is often overlooked and the benefit of maintaining the engine rpm from gear to gear. The unit essentially turns your 4-speed auto into an 8-speed...
Using the RPM calculator, it would appear you have the 4.10s. Tires are probably not gonna put you in the RPM range you want, unless they are really tall. The 235/85/16s will help a little and 255/85/16s will help some more, but you will still be over 2100 RPMs at 70 mph. The Gear Vendor Unit...
