the spring and pin are together and mine never separated. i had left them both out. it's a pain as the injector lines, three mounting bolts, three IP to gear bolts, and oil fill all need to be removed. try to wait for another answer. might be an easier solution.
replaced the tails and boards. one had failed to cause the blinker to not work when the lights were on. thought it was the connection but it was the board. don't like the new design.

i have the 80 in my 93. i converted it to manual shift. even the TC is manual. all i need is to install the floor shifter. my left foot never gets tired either. no more than a few hundred in it. don't even have the TCM connected. i love standards also but the cost to convert never made sense.
i call it a simple FICTION test if it's based of pixies. read a few studies and feel the same way: they lean towards an agenda and depends on who pays for it.
