That is what my Jimmy had. 6v92T silver series. Alot of people knocked them but mine ran great. Like all Detroits it needed a depends as it left it's mark everywhere....:D
The DB2 puts out alot less fuel then a DS4. My 93 with a TM did not make boost as fast as my 98 with the vac system. Even with the TM cranked up running a GM4 which is the snappiest of Gm series It struggled to hit 10-12 psi and the truck was in good order. I think the point I am trying to make...
Leroy, if you could look into what sensors are needed to run this if one wanted to use it on a truck like a CUCV and also iof one were considering said swap, would it be better to use an OBD1 trans or OBD2 ? If you can provide those answers alot of CUCV owners might want this. The price of the...
Nice pics. For those not familiar with real Detroit 2 strokes notice in the second pic, center jug the holes in the cyl. That is how the air enters the cyl as the engine has no intake valves. It's called crankcase scavenging. The air is forced through the holes by the blower and then compressed...
I drove a few KW's with 8v92t's You could easily crank them up to 475hp with the right injs plus Mario from the Bridgeport ferry knew how tune them just right.
I'd like to see the results. It is an affordable alternative to the TCI and compushift and I did not want to tackle the GM TCM. I saw it at a carshow. Looked simple enough...
I did. I was forced out of business by the corrupt state of Connecticut.
It broke my heart to sell that truck but the tank was shot and the motor after 500k of faithful miles, needed Heads as well as every year I had to grease someone to pass it for emmisions. The racks were cranked up and she...
Ahemmm...

Have you tried it yet ? I wasn't willing to be the guinnea pig for 6 beans...However if it does indeed work, it is a good thing. The compushift is a great unit but way outta line. BTW this unit if it works good...
My Heath one went after about 2 yrs but I had sold the truck at that point and Bill honored the warranty for the new owner. Bill is stand up and you can never go wrong dealing with him. The only issue I saw with his kit is it will need to be mounted differently if you are running a Diamond EZ...
I think I settled the issue of Copper vs Aluminum pretty good...:suicide:
BTW as far as the lift...I have been looking into this alot more lately and the Pro Comp is 1900$ just for the kit....ORU makes a Straight axle conversion for 800$...Then if you can find a Ford Diff and Crossover...
That's alot of coin to spend on a motor with 277k. You'll need a coolant overflow to use a copper rad if that is what you are thinking. I wouldn't bother. It did not make any difference. I blew 600$ to prove that.
Never worked on one save for what I mentioned but I would imagine it's still mech common rail like the 2 strokers minus the blower and probably has intake valves vs crankcase scavenged. I know it had a gov box for the racks because I had to fix it. Thing was a dog for power.
Nope, just want to see all aspects and for the record I have talked to people that were very happy with it. My interest is more in the off road performance area. That and I strongly dis agree on blaming his tire size.
