There is a plug in the oil galley of the block above the oil filter. I have had a few of those leak as well. I took it out , tefloned it and reinstalled.
He has a mech LP. BTW to answer your question about "Feed The Beast" It is unnecessary and a waste of effort on a DB2 Equipped truck. It will still be restricted at the inlet. The Factory Fuel supply system is more than adequate to supply even a turned up DB2.
If you still have the factory Mechincal LP(garbage) then the only way to prime it is use a hand pump. There is a bleeder screw(big plastic one) on the top with a tit on the side. There was a Kent Moore Tool that was a squeeze type hand pump that would draw the fuel through the filter. You could...
BTW I have confirmed the Centerforce clutch in my possession says LUK right on it but it does look like they changed the friction material on the flywheel side only.
hector with injectors...:rof:
I think that says it all....He ain't new...He keeps changing his name over on eBay and I would wonder why...
A 4911 is a tough pump to find used...I paid 150$ for one in unknown condition. You could get a 2829 for way cheaper , turn it up and probably not know the...
I'm so pissed. I got my ARP Flywheel bolts and the heads stick up too much and will hit the clutch disk. I guess I gotta use the ones that came with the flywheel although they really should be replaced. I could probably shave a little off the top of the heads in my new lathe but I wonder if that...
If it's cast iron and a toploader...Buy it..:D
Put IFS IN ??? God, why....Sorry, I think they are junk. I can't wait to rip mine out. Yes the Dana 44 turns way better. Something to do with the geometry of the knuckles vs steering arm. funny thing is the parts are interchangable. There should...
Just replaced the starter in my Burb. I pulled the old one apart to salvage the solenoid(60$) and the black soot form the brushes came out in piles....Was doing exactly what you describe. I had to turn it in for a core and I had a freid sol from another starter that I put on it and kept the good...
It could be a reman but the question is who did it ? There are alot of hacks.....Aside from maybe Accurate Diesel, I usually go local. Heath sells new ones but I never keep anything long enough to spend that kind of scratch.
It's the good one..If it's factory GM or a quality replacement...I did a thread on Chinese Knocks offs not lining up but otherwise..yeah you got the good one.
I would think you could put a jake on pretty much any detroit configuration. It's pretty easy actually. Probably the easiest motor to put one on. IIRC you don't need the valve cover spacer like on the Cat's etc. Yeah...No luggie a Cummins..They don't like that at all....
AA makes the kit for nthe TC you have but it's bucks and I don't see the benefit of the money spent unless you are doing hardcore 4wheeling with some serious HP. I agree about the Dana 60's. I ran Dana 44's and they held up pretty good other than ball joints and wheel bearings but in those days...
